Ryu Kawajiri, ATC
Originally from Japan, Ryu Kawajiri earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Diego State University in 2005. While pursuing this degree and continuing on after his graduation, Mr. Kawajiri also began his studies in oriental medicine which includes Japanese style Shiatsu Massage and Kinesio Taping, a therapeutic and rehabilitative taping method. He is currently broadening his knowledge in therapeutic medicine with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. He has experience in Pilates, uses Acuscope therapy and applies PNF stretching in his therapy showing a wide knowledge in various techniques and therapies.
Mr. Kawajiri has a vast amount of experience in many different levels of Sports Medicine. After his graduation he worked in the Sports Medicine division at the Athletes’ Performance Laboratory in Japan. There he was able to work with different athletes in volleyball, basketball, baseball, soccer, and track & field, each having their own specific needs and requirements for therapy. He has also worked with the Chicago White Sox during their 2005 Spring Camp in Tucson Arizona, and has experience working on different football and baseball athletes here in the U.S. Along with his athletic patients experience he has also treated many orthopedic patients with a wide variety of complications, from acute injuries to chronic problems.
With his unique ability to mix an extensive array of methods and techniques in his therapy, he has achieved great success in his therapeutic sessions. He believes that there is no pain which cannot be relieved, and that no one should live with pain nor should they give up their search for the relief of pain. With his experience and knowledge, Mr. Kawajiri is dedicated to the relief of pain as soon as possible with maximum results.
