Jessica d’Arcy Wilson HHP,CCH

Jessica d’Arcy Wilson is a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP), Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCH), Massage Technician, Aromatherapist, Nutritional Counselor, Herbalist, and Doula. She is originally from the east coast and completed her BFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in poetry at Emerson College in Boston. During her college years she also lived in The Netherlands and traveled throughout Europe studying liberal arts.

After college, she underwent intensive training in herbal medicine and The Wise Woman Tradition as a live-in apprentice of well-known herbalist and author Susun Weed. She spent the summer living simply off the land at The Wise Woman Center – tending goats and wild-crafting herbs in the forests of upstate New York while learning from a variety of noted teachers.

In 1998 she moved to San Diego. Her training continued as she studied herbs at The Self-Heal School and worked in a laboratory making natural aroma-therapeutic and herbal products under the tutelage of Ruth Ritchart at Ritchart Soaps & Oils. Here she acquired the basic knowledge of therapeutic aromatherapy and soap-making.
After this, Jessica spent time on her own healing journey which included traveling to India and working with a group of women to create a local non-profit organization. She spent several years working with clients, primarily young women dealing with addiction and abuse issues, while completing her HHP and CCH at The School of Healing Arts. She also became trained in Pranic Healing, Thought Field Therapy (TFT), and Seemorg Matrix. In 2002, she completed a private training in Aromatherapy with Francoise Rapp and received certification in Custom Blending Levels 1 & 2. In addition to individual sessions, she also facilitated specialized group therapies, such as a group for women focused on body image issues. She spent two years working as a Live-in Staff person in a recovery home dealing with clients in early recovery. She volunteered time as well working as a mentor and teaching classes.

During her work with women, Jessica became inspired to become a Certified Doula and assisted at approximately 25 births. She combined her hypnotherapy skills with her love of labor coaching and attended additional training in the specialized area of Hypno-Birthing.

Jessica began teaching Hypnotherapy and supervising the clinical internship program at the School of Healing Arts in 2007. In 2008, Jessica worked with Dr. Marla Brucker to help open The Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy in San Diego where she serves as Assistant Director and also as an instructor.

For the last ten years, Jessica has studied and practiced meditation under the guidance of her spiritual teacher, Amirah Hall. In 2009, she received a certification of completion from Amirah’s nine month intensive Spiritual Mentoring Program (now called Miracle Mentoring).
